Free tool

Free website health check.

Put in your website’s address. In under a minute you’ll see how fast it loads on a phone, whether it’s secure, and whether Google can read it properly. Every result is measured, and each one says where it came from.

  • Free, no email needed
  • Checks your homepage
  • Report kept 90 days at a private link

01 /What we check

Five things your customers notice.

Each check is either measured by Google’s own test or read straight from your homepage. If something can’t be checked, the report says so and why. It never fills the gap with a guess.

Speed on a phone.

How long the main content takes to appear, whether the page jumps about while loading, and how long it’s too busy to respond. Judged against Google’s own published thresholds, with real visitors’ figures where Google has them.

How it looks on a phone.

The padlock.

Whether your site is secure (HTTPS), whether the insecure version sends people to the secure one, when your security certificate runs out, and whether anything on the page is loaded insecurely.

What Google can read.

Your page title and description (what shows in search results), whether Google is allowed to list the page, whether there’s a sitemap, and whether your business details are marked up for Google.

How links to it look when shared.

Whether a preview picture shows when someone shares your site on WhatsApp or Facebook.

02 /What we don’t do

No made-up scores. No email wall.

Plenty of free checkers give you a mark out of 100 and ask for your email before you see it. We’d rather show you the facts.

No overall score.

A single mark means someone decided how much each thing counts. That’s an opinion dressed up as a measurement. You get each result on its own instead, and Google’s own performance score labelled as Google’s.

No guesses.

If Google’s test fails or your site doesn’t answer, the report says “couldn’t check” and why. It never shows a number it didn’t measure.

No sign-up.

No email, no account. We keep the report for 90 days at a private link so you can share it, then it’s deleted.

03 /Questions

Before you check.

Is it really free?

Yes. There’s nothing to pay and nothing to sign up for. If the report shows things you’d like fixed, you can ask us, but you don’t have to.

What do you keep, and for how long?

The address you checked, the results and the time of the check, for 90 days, so the report link works. We don’t store your name, email or IP address with it. The address is also sent to Google to run its speed test.

Why don’t you give an overall score?

Because any overall score is someone’s opinion about what matters most. We show Google’s own performance score, labelled as Google’s, and leave everything else as plain results.

Why is Google’s speed result different each time?

Google’s lab test loads the page on a simulated phone, and the timings vary a little from one run to the next. Where Google has figures from real visitors, the report shows those too, and they’re steadier.

Can I check a site that isn’t mine?

Yes. Everything we check is public information that anyone’s browser can see, and the report describes “this site”, not its owner. To keep it free, each visitor can run 5 checks an hour.

My site’s on Wix or Squarespace. Will it work?

Yes, if it has its own web address. We check the published site, whatever it’s built with. Links to a Facebook page, Etsy shop or Linktree aren’t websites we can check.

Want a hand with what it finds?

We build and look after websites for small businesses. Send us your report and we’ll tell you honestly what’s worth doing.
