Mossypips Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

Mossypips is a game for children made by Stockulate Ltd. We built it to be safe for young children: it has no adverts, no accounts, no chat and nothing to buy inside the game. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to information when your family plays.

The short version

  • We do not collect, see or store any personal information about you or your child.
  • Your child's progress is saved only on your device.
  • Photos you turn into colour-by-number pictures are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
  • The photo cut-out tool comes from Google and may send Google anonymous technical information, described below.
  • There are no adverts, no analytics and no tracking in Mossypips.

What is saved on your device

Mossypips saves your child's game progress on the device: the creatures they have found, their pets' homes, their colouring and their settings. This stays on the device. We cannot see it, and it is deleted if you uninstall the game or use "Reset all progress" in the grown-ups' settings.

Photos

A grown-up can choose a photo to turn into a colour-by-number picture. This happens on the device: the photo is never uploaded to us or anyone else. Once the picture is made, only the colour-by-number puzzle is kept, not the photo. Choosing a photo sits behind a grown-ups-only check.

Google's photo cut-out tool (ML Kit)

To cut the main subject out of a photo, Mossypips uses Google ML Kit, which runs through Google Play services on the device. Your photos are processed on the device and ML Kit does not send them to Google. Google ML Kit may send Google limited technical information to keep the tool working and improve it: details such as the device model and Android version, the app's name and version, how quickly the tool ran, error codes and an identifier for this installation. It does not include your photos or anything that identifies your child. The first time the tool is used, the device may need an internet connection to download it from Google.

You can read Google's ML Kit terms and privacy information at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms

Google Play

Mossypips is sold and delivered through Google Play, and Google handles your purchase under Google's own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Google gives us limited information about sales, such as an order number and the country of purchase, which we use only for our accounts. If you have agreed to share usage and diagnostics with Google, Google Play may also give us anonymous crash and performance statistics, which we use only to fix problems.

Early testers

If you join our early tester programme, we keep the email address of your Google account in the Google Play Console so that Google can give you access to the test version. We use it for nothing else, and we remove it when testing ends or when you ask us to.

Children

Mossypips is designed for children aged 4 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Grown-up areas, such as the settings and choosing photos, are behind a simple check that young children cannot easily pass.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal information about you or your child, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. The exception is early testers: you can ask us to remove your email address at any time. If you have questions or concerns, please contact us. You can also contact the UK Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk

Changes to this policy

If we change how Mossypips handles information, we will update this policy and the date at the top, and describe the change in the app's update notes.
